Product feeds

Introduction

Product recommendations for quizzes are taken from your connected product feed. The product feed can be set either in the AI-generation quiz form or from the quiz editor's Product feed tab.

Product matching is done through the available product information, so try to include any relevant fields, such as a description, size, and color. For more information on product matching, refer to the product matchers guide.

Link feeds

JSON link

If you already have a JSON product feed, you can directly use it in quizzes.

To connect a JSON product feed through a link:

1. Choose JSON in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the publicly-accessible URL to your feed, for example https://example.com/my-feed.json.

Uploaded JSON feed

If you don't have a feed that fits any of the options on this page, you can upload a custom feed for your organization.

To upload a feed, click Feeds in the Organization section of the sidebar and then click New feed at the top of the page. You will be redirected to a new page where you can either manually create products or import them from a JSON, CSV, or XML file.

Once you have at least one uploaded feed, you can use it as a JSON feed in quizzes.

To connect a JSON product feed through an upload:

1. Choose JSON in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Click the search feed button to the right of the Custom URL field.
3. Select your feed from the dropdown list.

CSV link

If you already have a public CSV product feed link, you can directly use it in quizzes.

To connect a CSV product feed through a link:

1. Choose CSV/TSV link in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the publicly-accessible URL to your feed, for example https://example.com/my-feed.csv.

XML link

If you already have a public XML product feed link, you can directly use it in quizzes.

To connect a XML product feed through a link:

1. Choose XML link in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Specify the path to the product element in the file in the Path to product field. The field is already field for Google feeds.
3. Provide the publicly-accessible URL to your feed, for example https://example.com/my-feed.xml.

Shopify feeds

If have a Shopify store, you can directly use its product feed in quizzes.

To connect a Shopify product feed:

1. Choose Shopify in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the domain of your store, for example https://example.com.

If your quiz isn't relevant to the whole store, you can limit the feed to specific collections from the Shopify collection handles field.

By default only the base Shopify products are used in recommendations. If you want to split their variants into separate products, turn on the Use product variants switch.

Affiliate feeds

If you have an affiliate program with one of our supported affiliate networks, you can directly its product feed.

Awin

The supported feed provider option for Awin.

To connect an Awin product feed:

1. Choose Awin in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the ID of your product feed. Both legacy and enhanced feeds are supported.

For better control over the recommended products, you can filter products out of the feed:

• To only include products that contain a certain value, specify the original field name and a filter value in the Product filter field. Only products matching the filter will be used by the feed, for example products with a description field containing bundles.
• To remove duplicate products from your feed, specify a deduplication original field name in the Remove duplicate products by attribute field. If there are multiple products with the same value in that field, for example product variants with a duplicate title field, only the first product will be added to the feed.

The connected feed will be formatted to better fit Help Me Choose quizzes. You can see the feed format in the table below.

If you want to include additional fields from your original feed for product matching, add their names to the Custom attributes field in the feed editor.

CJ Affiliate

The supported feed provider option for CJ Affiliate.

To connect a CJ Affiliate product feed:

1. Choose CJ Affiliate in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the ID of your product feed.

The connected feed will be formatted to better fit Help Me Choose quizzes. You can see the feed format in the table below.

Soicos

The supported feed provider option for Soicos.

To connect a Soicos product feed:

1. Choose Soicos in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the ID of your Soicos program.

If your quiz isn't relevant to the whole store, you can limit the feed to a specific category by providing a category ID in the Category ID field.

The connected feed will be formatted to better fit Help Me Choose quizzes. You can see the feed format in the table below.

Tradedoubler

The supported feed provider option for Tradedoubler.

To connect a Tradedoubler product feed:

1. Choose Tradedoubler in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the ID of your Tradedoubler product feed.
3. Provide the country of your Tradedoubler program.

For better control over the recommended products, you can filter products out of the feed:

• To limit products to a specific category, specify a category name in the Category name field.
• To only include products that contain a certain value in the title or description, specify a search term in the Search term field.

The connected feed will be formatted to better fit Help Me Choose quizzes. You can see the feed format in the table below.

Impact

The supported feed provider option for Impact.

To connect an Impact product feed:

1. Choose Impact in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the ID of your product feed (known as product catalog on Impact).

The connected feed will be formatted to better fit Help Me Choose quizzes. You can see the feed format in the table below.

Rakuten Advertisting

The supported feed provider option for Rakuten Advertisting.

To connect an Rakuten Advertisting product feed:

1. Choose Rakuten Advertisting in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the merchant ID associated with your product feed.

For better control over the recommended products, you can filter products out of the feed:

• To limit products to a specific category, specify a category name in the Category field.
• To only include products that contain a certain value, specify a search keyword in the Keyword search field. Every keyword has to be separated by a space and does not have to appear in the same order in the product information.

Prime Fashion Ads

The supported feed provider option for Prime Fashion Ads.

To connect an Prime Fashion Ads product feed:

1. Choose Prime Fashion Ads in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the product feed ID associated with your product feed.

For better control over the recommended products, you can filter products out of the feed:

• To only include products that contain a certain value, specify the original field name and a filter value in the Product filter field. Only products matching the filter will be used by the feed, for example products with a Artikelname field containing bundles.

Ascend

The supported feed provider option for Ascend.

To connect an Ascend product feed:

1. Choose Ascend in the Product feed provider field of the product feed editor menu.
2. Provide the program ID associated with your product feed.

For better control over the recommended products, you can filter products out of the feed:

• To only include products that contain a certain value, specify the original field name and a filter value in the Product filter field. Only products matching the filter will be used by the feed, for example products with a description field containing bundles.
